R E O Gold Comet Retired metal print by Mary Beth Landis. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This abandoned R E O Gold Comet Truck was found in rural Pennsylvania. The blue cab was very rusted and covered with vegetation. At one time it was used to deliver hay, straw and grain to local farmers. R E O stands for Ransom E. Olds who founded the Olds Motor Vehicle Company in 1897. Later the company became part of General Motors.
